2507 is a ferritic - austenitic (duplex) stainless steel, which combines a number of ferritic and austenitic steels most beneficial properties. Since the steel have a high chromium content and molybdenum, and therefore has excellent resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion and uniform corrosion capabilities. Dual phase microstructure of the steel having the ability to ensure high resistance to stress corrosion cracking, and the mechanical strength is also high.
